Creative team Sarah Light and Simon Clayton have been working together as Martillo Design since 2000. Primarily their work has encompassed film set design, branded environment design, marketing events and touring shows.

Sarah Light
Sarah trained as an architect and worked in set design and art direction for film, television and theatre for 10 years before moving into exhibitions, events and commercial interiors. She has worked as a designer and project manager, delivering projects for the Powerhouse Museum, Apple, Sony, IBM, Volkswagen, Panasonic, Medibank, Flight Centre, GE, Mazda, Audi, McGrath Nicol, Dexus and Goodman.

Sarah has worked on several Academy and AFI award-winning productions, her work has also been recognised with the following awards:

US Art Directors Guild Award for Excellence in Production Design, Feature Film Period and Fantasy category, for Baz Luhrmann’s “Moulin Rouge”

Simon Clayton
Simon has 25 years experience as a scenic artist in the film, television and commercials industries in Australia, Japan, PNG and New Zealand. He was engaged by SOCOG to manage the scenic art workshop for the Sydney Olympic Games Opening and Closing Ceremonies, delivering the largest scenic art project undertaken in Australia.
